Chocolate Classes

Let your creative juices flow!

Learn how to make and decorate chocolates from San Diego’s premier chocolatier. We offer group classes and private classes— perfect for families, date nights and group gatherings looking to have fun with chocolate!

  • LEARN: You will learn how to temper chocolate at home, how cacao is grown and processed by the farmers, and how we make chocolate in the factory/store. In addition, you will be learn how to decorate truffles and let your creative juices flow!

  • SUPPLIES & GIFT BOX: All materials and equipment are provided, and everything you make is yours to keep! Participants will make a ganache which they can flavor or keep plain chocolate and decorate and make 21 molded chocolate truffles. We provide a gift box for the 21 chocolate truffles and a container for the remaining ganache.

  • SIZE & TIMING: Advanced reservations are required. Classes are limited to 18 people. The more people there are, the longer the class but generally classes last 2 to 3 hours.

  • LOCATION: Classes are held at our boutique and factory in Carmel Valley, California. We are located in the Piazza Carmel at 3840 Valley Centre Dr Suite 604, San Diego, CA 92130.

  • DECORATE: Kids can learn how to decorate chocolate bars with San Diego’s premier chocolatier.

  • LEARN: Kids get a lesson in how cacao is grown and chocolate is made or, in essence, where their chocolate bars come from.  

  • SUPPLIES: All materials and equipment are provided, and everything the kids make is theirs to keep! Each child gets to decorate and take home one full size bars. For private booked kids’ classes, each child gets to decorate and take one two full size bars.

  • AVAILABILITY & TIMING: Advanced reservations are required. Space is limited. A complimentary kids’ class is offered every Sunday afternoon at 12pm and lasts for 90 minutes. Private kids’ classes are also available for a minimum of 4 kids, you can select your day and time.

  • SUPERVISION: A parent or guardian must accompany the child(ren) at all times. Parents can also decorate chocolate bars for an additional $35. There is no charge if the parent wants to observe.

    First Sunday of the Month at 12pm/Noon
    Free for Kids with Parent or Guardian
    90 minute class for kids to decorate one chocolate bar and learn about chocolate. Classes are only offered when 4 or more reserve in advance. We also offer private Kids Decorating Classes, you can pick your day and time, starting at $140 for 4 kids.
